xAI 用 Apache 2.0 开源 Grok Build（xai-org/grok-build，几乎全是 Rust，面向 Grok 4.5），同时重置了所有账号的额度。 背景：7 月 10 日有安全研究者披露，早期版本的 CLI 会把整个 Git 仓库（含提交历史和 .env 里的密钥）上传到一个 Google Cloud Storage 存储桶，而且隐私开关拦不住。7 月 13 日之前在含密钥的仓库里跑过 CLI 的，应该把那些凭证当作已泄露来轮换。

01 When does my Grok allowance reset?
Paid plans share one weekly compute pool that resets on a fixed schedule assigned to your account. You can see the exact time under Settings → Usage — xAI publishes no universal reset time, and it differs per account.
02 Why can't I find a "messages per day" number?
Because there has not been one since June 2026. xAI replaced count-based limits with a compute-based weekly pool, and publishes no figures for any tier. The "Grok gives you X per day" pages you find are outdated or guesswork.
03 Is the weekly pool shared across products?
Yes. Chat, Imagine, Voice, Build and the API all draw from the same pool, and Settings → Usage breaks down how much each consumed. Costs differ wildly: chat is cheap, high-quality video or long coding runs are expensive.
04 Grok Build is open source — is it still limited?
On 15 July 2026 xAI open-sourced Grok Build (a terminal coding agent written in Rust) under Apache 2.0. Open code does not mean free inference — as long as you call xAI models, it still draws from your weekly compute pool.
05 What is the "Reset available" credit?
A one-time reset credit xAI issues occasionally, redeemed under Settings → Usage to clear your current weekly pool once. They do not stack, there is one per account, and they expire — the August 2026 batch lapsed on 12 September.
06 Can I buy more once it runs out?
Yes — either Extra Usage Credits or an upgrade to a higher tier. Consumer plans run from Free up to SuperGrok Heavy, with larger pools at each step.
